LeBron James was named to the All-Star team for the 22nd time, extending his NBA record. To put his record in perspective, no other player has made 20 NBA All-Star teams. Kobe Bryant is third on the list with 18 appearances.
What player made 19 All-Star teams, second only to LeBron James? Is it Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Karl Malone or Bingo Smith?
(more…)The General Manager of the Minnesota Vikings is out of his job in large part because of the quarterback situation where he let Sam Darnold go after a very successful season in a Vikings uniform, and now Darryl is playing in the Super Bowl with the Seahawks.
Another factor is he was the least experienced general manager hires in recent NFL history. He never played or coached football before. After years as a Wall Street commodities trader, he worked in the NBA before taking an entry-level analytics job with the 49ers in 2013.
